At the Association of Manitoba Book Publishers (the "AMBP"), we take your right to privacy very seriously. We have established this Privacy Policy to set out the policies we follow in handling personal information that is acquired by us or provided to us in the course of operating our business.

This Privacy Policy applies to personal information held by the AMBP. "Personal Information" is defined by applicable law to mean "information about an identifiable individual".
Personal Information does not include business contact information of business representatives where such information was provided to AMBP for the purposes of facilitating communication with that person in their professional capacity.

At AMBP, we only collect personal information required to: (i) facilitate requested services, (ii) carry out our administrative duties, (iii) provide you with the requested information and materials, (iv) improve your use of our services and/or website, and (v) as otherwise permitted by law.

In the unlikely event of a privacy breach, AMBP is obligated to record any such breach attempts, and should there be a real risk of significant harm, to report that breach to affected individuals and to the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Upon request, an individual may request access to his or her personal information maintained by AMBP. Individuals are certainly able to challenge or confirm the accuracy or completeness of their information that we have on file.
7. Modifications
This Privacy Policy may be updated periodically and without prior notice to you, and any changes will be effective immediately upon the posting of the revised policy on the AMBP website. It is your obligation to review the Privacy Policy found on our website to note any modifications.
