Good news! We have just received word that the province is reinstating funding for the Alexander Kennedy Isbister Award for Non-Fiction / Prix Alexander-Kennedy-Isbister pour les études et essais, the Margaret Laurence Award for Fiction, and (the biennial) Prix littéraire Rue-Deschambault with cash prizes of $3,500 each for the winning writers.
The Laurence and the Isbister awards will be presented at the upcoming Manitoba Book Awards gala on Sunday, April 27, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. at the West End Cultural Centre.
