• providing current information, ideas and resources on publishing to our members and the general public
  • co-ordinating joint marketing projects such as Prairie books NOW, a publication about Prairie writers, publishers and stories
  • administering 6 of the Manitoba Book Awards, recognizing contributions made by Manitoba’s literary community
  • promoting members’ titles through Books Unbound, which generates events and activities that highlight both the books and industry of Manitoba publishing
  • coordinating What’s New in Manitoba Books, a quarterly e-newsletter detailing the new releases, events and latest news of our member publishers
  • representing our members’ interests and negotiating on their behalf with various government departments and agencies
